ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

Additive Manufacturing
3D printing is a production method that enables the additive manufacturing of metals and plastic materials through laser or electron beam. It is based on the principle of melting the powders in the powder bed with a suitable energy source and binding them through sinter. Parts with precise and complex geometries are produced.

Wire Erosion
Sinker EDM works an electrode (usually a copper electrode) onto the workpiece to shape or create holes and creating an electrical discharge between it and the surface of the workpiece.

Wire EDM works by cutting or carving a wire electrode (usually wire copper) through the workpiece to machine it. Machining occurs through electrical discharge between the workpiece and the wire electrode.

Plunge Erosion
The material is removed by applying voltage to the part with special cathodes called electrodes. Small diameter and very deep holes with precise tolerance can be drilled. It is possible to remove chip from the part without transferring thermal or mechanical load to the part.
